It's time to register for Vacation Bible School! The date is June 22-26, 2015. Click on the VBS PAGE for the registration form and teen volunteer form.  

A workshop, the Power of Palliative Care will be offered on Saturday, April 25 at St. Boniface Parish in Waukee. The workshop is co-sponsored by St. Boniface and St. Joseph Educational Center. CLICK HERE to learn more about this event and to register.

The final CFF classes for the year will be held on Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1. We will not have class on April 8.

The next pancake breakfast held by the Knights of Columbus will be on April 12. The beneficiary will be the Sacred Heart Family Ministry and GIFT programs.

The next meeting for the Women's Guild will be on April 16 when Eric Woolson from St. Vincent de Paul will be sharing the Society's story and works of charity serving those in need.

Sacred Heart Church | Palm SundayAt Sacred Heart, we celebrated Palm Sunday the weekend of March 28 and 29. With Palm Sunday begins the holiest week of the year in the Catholic Church. Join us this week at Sacred Heart as families, like the one shown here, gather to remember and give praise!

Each year, the Knights of ColumbusSacred Heart Church | St. Patrick's Day Celebration and the Women's Guild host a grand celebration in honor of St. Patrick's day. This year the celebration was held on March 16 in the parish center. The event always includes singing, food and fellowship. Sacred Heart Church | Fish FryThe attendance at the Sacred Heart Fish Fry Fridays has been tremendous! Pictured here are just two of our many devoted volunteers. The Fish Fry events are sponsored by SMASH (Student Ministry at Sacred Heart) and the proceeds help our young people attend mission trips, conferences and the National Catholic Youth Conference. Sacred Heart Church | Lent

The Sacred Heart Church Lenten soup supper and Reconciliation service was held on Monday, March 9. At the supper, we fed over 100 guests who feasted on Father Hess' secret chilli recipe, along with potato soup, hot dogs and chilli dogs. The proceeds from the free-will offering will go toward the Sacred Heart Church Rice Bowl project. Approximately 150 parishioners attended the Reconciliation service where 12 local priests heard confessions.

On Saturday, March 7, approximatelySacred Heart Church | First Eucharist 90 Sacred Heart Church 2nd graders from Children's Faith Formation and Sacred Heart School spent the morning learning about the meaning and the importance of Eucharist in the Catholic Church. On April 18 and May 2, 130 students will receive First Eucharist at special Masses. Please join us in praying for our students. Pictured here are four of the happy participants!

Sacred Heart Church | KnightsThe Knights of Columbus from Sacred Heart Church have a pancake breakfast just about every month throughout the year. Each month, the proceeds go to support an organization or a charity. On March 8, the benefactor of the pancake breakfast was the CRS Rice Bowl project at Sacred Heart. Shown here are some of the Knights who are ready to promote this great cause.
