The parish music ministers would like to invite other parishioners interested in joining this ministry to do so at any time throughout the year. There are many different options from which to choose:
CANTORS: Lead sung prayer at all the Eucharistic liturgies. Cantors are scheduled individually. Each choir mentioned below has members who are cantors who lead when their choir sings.
CHILDREN’ S CHOIR: Leads sung prayer once a month during the school year at the weekend liturgies. Practices are on the Sunday evenings at 5:00 to 6:00 PM . This choir is open to students in second grade to eighth grade.
INSTRUMENTALISTS: All instrumentation is welcome, but scheduled individually at various weekend liturgies with a cantor or choir.
SPIRIT SINGERS: Leads sung prayer twice a month at various weekend Eucharistic liturgies with practice the Tuesday prior at 7:00 PM. Various instrumentation is also welcomed.
TRADITIONAL CHOIR: Leads sung prayer every weekend at the 9:30 AM Sunday weekend Eucharistic liturgy, except during the summer. Practices are Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.
SACRED HEART TEEN CHOIR: High school age or older group that leads sung prayer on the third Sunday weekend liturgy at 11:15 am. Practices are on Sunday evenings at 7:00-8:30 pm.
